Navigate to (or Misc. depending on your menu version) and select Firmware Update . Select Via Network and press Enter . Choose Update and press Enter .
Note: If "Firmware Update" is grayed out, wait a few minutes for the system to fully boot up. Wait for the front panel to display .

If your receiver is not connected to the internet, or if the network update repeatedly fails, you can manually install the files using a standard USB storage drive. Preparing the USB Drive Use a flash drive with at least 1 GB of space.
Plug the USB drive into the front or rear USB port of the HT-R695. Press the button on your remote control. Navigate to Misc > Firmware Update . Select Update via USB . Select Update to begin.
